Adaptive assessments, like i-Ready® Diagnostic, leverage advanced technology to provide a deep, customized evaluation of every student and to track student growth and performance consistently and continuously over a student’s entire K–12 career.
By dynamically adapting based on student response patterns, adaptive assessments are able to derive large amounts of information from a limited number of test items. This allows the assessments to more accurately and more efficiently pinpoint students’ needs as compared to traditional fixed-form tests.
i-Ready’s Tools for Instruction are downloadable, best-practice, teacher-led lessons that relate directly to skills assessed in the Diagnostic providing targeted classroom instruction where students need it most. Tools for Instruction provide additional support for skills students may have worked on in the online lessons but have not yet fully mastered.

Math in Focus provides an authentic Singapore math curriculum—highlighting problem solving as the focus of mathematical learning. This complete program teaches concepts using a concrete–pictorial–abstract learning progression to anchor learning in real-world, hands-on experiences, supported by seamless integration of technology with the use of eBooks, Interactive Whiteboard activities, online student activities, online manipulatives, and a bar modeling apps.
The Indiana Science Initiative is a partnership between the Indiana Department of Education, I-STEM, and Eli Lilly and Company to support K-8 schools in the implementation of research-developed hands on science materials. When K-8 schools choose to join the Initiative they will adopt a matrix of curricular materials that have been reviewed as strongly aligned with Indiana Academic Standards. As participants in the ISI teachers will be required to participate in professional development that supports the pedagogy and use of the modules. Materials will be managed through centralized centers and will not be the responsibility of the school or district.
Weekly Reader and Scholastic provide teachers with fresh, relevant classroom resources that ignite a passion for reading, teaching, and learning. Our classroom magazines help millions of children awaken a love of learning and curiosity about our world! Elementary magazines explore grade-appropriate nonfiction content and news stories. STAR assessments provide the most valid, reliable, actionable data in the least amount of testing time—usually 20 minutes or less. That empowers educators to focus on what matters most—individualizing instruction to accelerate learning for all students.
STAR assessments are computer adaptive, using sophisticated item calibration and psychometrics to dynamically adjust to each student’s unique responses. Fully supported by extensive research, they are easy to administer and yield the valid, reliable, actionable data educators need.
STAR assessments include new skills-based test items and new in-depth reports for screening, instructional planning, progress monitoring, and standards benchmarking. Educators have immediate access to skill-specific, actionable data to target instruction and practice, select students for intervention, and predict state-test performance.
